Our Story
The Faculty of Economics and Commerce has pioneered the provision of specialised career resources and support to its post-graduate students since early 2005 by a dedicated Careers Management Consultant.
The program was continuously developed and augmented throughout 2005 and 2006, and in 2007 another two professional staff were employed to further strengthen and expand the existing service range.
The “Graduate Careers Centre” (GCC) came into existence in 2007 and is now part of the Faculty’s Melbourne Graduate School of Management.
The GCC is the country’s first faculty-based professional career centre with a comprehensive range of high level career support services for students enrolled in career commencement, advanced professional or research programs. It also plays a key role in providing up-to-date career and employment related statistics to Faculty members.
We are committed to further diversify and grow, meet our students’ and industry partners’ needs and prepare our graduates for career success in 21st century workplaces.
