Students are also strongly advised to read the University's publications 'Australian Student Tuition Fees 2006' or 'International Student Tuition Fees 2006'. Copies of these booklets are available from the Professional Programs Office or from Student Administration.
Commonwealth Supported Places
What were known as HECS places are now known as Commonwealth supported places. A Commonwealth supported place is a higher education place which is subsidised by the government. Students enrolling into the Master of Commerce or PhD programs who meet the specified requirements, may be eligible for a Commonwealth supported place.
HECS-HELP
HECS-HELP is a loan available to eligible students enrolled in Commonwealth supported places. A HECS-HELP loan will cover all or part of the student contribution amount.
If you receive a HECS-HELP loan, the Australian Government pays the loan amount directly to your higher education provider on your behalf. A HECS-HELP debt is recorded for you with the Tax Office aginst your Tax File Number.
FEE-HELP
All postgraduate courses, with the exception of the Master of Commerce and PhD programs, are full fee paying.
FEE-HELP is a loan which is available to eligible fee-paying students to help pay all or part of their tuition fees. A maximumof $50,000 in tuition fees may be paid using FEE-HELP over a student's lifetime.

Amenities and Services Fee (ASF)
All continuing students and students who are commencing in semester 1, 2006 are required to pay an Amenities and Services Fee for all of 2006 which contributes towards the maintenance of University facilities.
