Double Degrees
Double degrees offer students the flexibility to study two degrees concurrently.
A minimum (and in most cases a maximum) of 500 points is required for the award of the two degrees. The normal requirements for the Bachelor of Commerce pass degree apply, except that double degree students will be required to complete a minimum (and in some cases a maximum) of 200 points of commerce subjects. Students in double degrees may also have restrictions on the level-2 quantitative subject they must take.
The table below lists the double degrees available and the points requirements for the Commerce and non-Commerce (other degree) components of each degree. Free points are points that can be taken from either degree, or another approved area of study.
Double degree students should check the requirements for their course in the Undergraduate Handbook.
Note: from Semester 2, 2007 only existing University of Melbourne students may apply to transfer to double degree courses. These students must already be enrolled in one component of the degree in which they wish to transfer to.

Professional Recognition
Students in double degrees who are seeking professional accreditation should also be aware of restrictions on the number of commerce points available to them. Students should seek advice from the relevant professional body regarding accreditation requirements to ensure there is sufficient room within their double degree course structure to undertake all the necessary subjects.
